The online PHP course I've been taking ended this week. I can honestly say that I learned something new and relevant every class (ok, except the SQLite stuff), and it was very worth taking. My favorite two classes focused on security and PHP performance tuning, where we covered many best practices when running a production PHP website. Although this course was a perk of attending php|works 2007 next week, it was well work taking.
Speaking of php|works 2007, I've gone through and decided which sessions I plan to attend. I really am impressed with what the conference will offer, plus attendees can take the Zend PHP Certification Exam for free! I can't wait for this conference, to learn more about my language of choice, and to get some professional exposure to the industry I'm a part of. Here's hoping the weather plays nice!
