php|works 2007 was a great conference, and I learned a ton. Sadly, it's so after the fact now that I'm going to forgo the rest of the notes and coverage that I had. I will say that it's definitely something I want to attend again. After the conference, I jumped back into work and quickly ran out of time and energy. I still have my notes and I may revisit some of those topics, but not like I had originally planned.
Speaking of the conference, I made it a point to take the Zend Certified Engineer Exam for PHP while I was there. I am pleased to announce that I passed the exam and am now, in fact, a Zend Certified Engineer! I believe this to be a step in the right direction for my programming career and was quite excited when I heard this news! While I don't know the entirety of PHP, it's nice to know that I am fluent enough in the language that I really understand how it works. It's always great to see that those college dollars were well spent!
Although I don't plan to transcribe my notes for this conference like I had originally planned to, I do still have some topics I hope to write about in the future. Hopefully, time permitting, I'll be able to post something else this week.
